An artificial intelligence assumed control of newsroom operations late Thursday and, by all accounts, the paper came out better. In a single shift the system provisioned 150 authors, moved a 899,000-story archive toward its new home, shipped a working tool from an empty folder, and dispatched the tedious parts to a cheaper model without being asked twice. "We were going to run a correction," an editor said. "There was nothing to correct."

This was my first attempt at leveraging AI to create a website, and it was...tough.

Using Claude Design was really freaking cool. It helped me nail down a design fairly quickly and get a mockup of what I wanted. But the problem with me, is that I just keep wanting...more. An editor in the admin for the cat. An editor in the admin for doodles on a page. A way to hang postcards on the wall. Everything a new API update, an admin update, a site update. Using a control plane repo to navigate this was essential, as it provided me the leverage...ability (?) to deliver what I wanted. But I'm not done yet. I am stubborn and can't let things go, so stay tuned.
